Happy Birthday Adrianna Garcia: “Love you little sis, wherever you are”
On July 24, Adrianna Garcia will turn 35 years old. But for her family, that day will mark nearly two decades missing a beloved sister, aunt, daughter and granddaughter.
Her family wrote these messages to share with Adrianna:
"There is not a single day that goes by that one of us does not think about you. There are so many milestones and life events that we have missed sharing with you. We could only imagine what they would have been like with you in them. For the 19 years’ worth of birthdays without you, it has since and will always be a very somber and bittersweet day for all of us, a reminder of your sweet face. There are no words to describe the amount of regret and guilt and what-ifs that have built up after losing you. We all love and miss you, happy birthday Dreena."

15-year-old Adrianna went missing from her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Dec. 29, 2004.
Adrianna’s sister, Annah Hamm, still remembers the last day she saw her little sister. It was Annah’s final weekend in their hometown before moving to Oklahoma City, so they decided to spend that Sunday having lunch and shopping for new clothes together. The two sisters later went to their grandmother's home where they had a nice time and even took a couple of family photos. Eventually, their mom picked Adrianna up and brought her home while Annah left for Oklahoma City.

Annah recalls that according to their mom, Adrianna asked if she could be dropped off at a friend’s house a few miles away for a sleepover. Their mom was unable to take her, so Adrianna decided to walk.
When Adrianna did not return home the next morning, her family immediately sensed something was wrong. It turned out, Adrianna never made it to her friend’s house, prompting her family to immediately report her missing to local law enforcement.

Annah says that Adrianna was very popular, and they come from a big, close-knit family. As the days went by with no sign of Adrianna, they knew she would not willingly stay away for so long without contacting her friends or family.
This year, to mark Adrianna’s 35th birthday, her entire family is coming together for a karaoke party – an activity they know Adrianna would love.

The circumstances surrounding Adrianna’s disappearance are still a mystery, but her family remains committed to finding answers to the nearly 20-year-old question: What happened to Adrianna?
